Antenna Testing
The antenna is one of the most important elements in an RF design.
The efficiency of the antenna plays a critical role in the output power and receive sensitivity,
but the antenna can also interact with the circuitry in other ways resulting in degradation to both transmit and receive signal quality.
Murandi has critical experience with characterization of the antenna, both alone and as part of an integrated unit. Murandi offers:
- Fully automated testing
- Repeatable and accurate
- 3D patterns
- Total radiated power (TRP)
- Over the air sensitivity
Murandi has its own in-house Antenna Test Range (ATR) that offers many benefits in characterizing and improving the performance of wireless products in a timely fashion. The shielded, anechoic chamber is equipped with a computer controlled, dual axis turntable and automated data acquisition capability. It produces detailed, accurate, and timely EMI/EMC and antenna measurements. An interactive 3-D reader allows for a full 3-D analysis of the radiated performance.
This ATR is combined with highly trained staff to provide an accurate, quick, and effective tool for antenna development and EMI reduction.
